Both are recognised as a great choice for a family ski holiday with a host of superb facilities aimed specially at the youngest skiers.

In Nendaz-Veysonnaz those with young children will love the magic carpet lifts, a snow garden for infants, free lift pass for children under seven, special film shows, guided snowshoe hikes, dog sled rides, tubing, a toboggan run, indoor-heated pool and an ice rink.

Every Tuesday evening throughout the high season, Veysonnaz gives you the chance to take part in a torchlight descent. When you arrive at the bottom of the run, you are welcomed by music and served with hot wine.

Nendaz and Veysonnaz also offer winter walks, snowshoes hikes, cross country skiing, and ski touring by night on the Piste des Mayens and Piste Jean Pierre (800m).

And if, after all this activity, you fancy just spending time in the ski-bars, numerous sundrenched terraces can offer you a relaxing moment or a fun time with friends during the beautiful sunny winter days.

So, don’t miss the Tipis on the Piste de l’Ours and Tortin piste, the Chottes de Novelli on the Combatseline run or the Yourte de Siviez – especially on the last run of the day.
