The Killers have confirmed they will play the Top Of The Mountain concert in the Austrian resort of Ischgl in April.
One of the best-selling bands of this century so far, The Killers have sold more than 5 million albums in the UK and 15 million worldwide. Their single Mr Brightside was voted the second-best song of the decade and the album Hot Fuss spent a record 173 weeks in the UK Albums Chart.Ischgl's Top Of The Mountain concerts have become legendary, opening and closing the Tirolean resort's five-month long ski season. This season's opening concert was headed by Beth Ditto and her Indie rock band Gossip at the end of November to a crowd of 20,000. Previous closing concert headliners include Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry and Rihanna.
This year's closing concert falls in the UK's extra long Bank Holiday Weekend in April, extended to commemorate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday 29 April. So UK skiers and boarders can book a long weekend in Ischgl without having to take time off work.
