Six Michelin-starred Italian chefs will create a choice of regional dishes that showcase the best traditions of Italian cuisine, with A Taste for Skiing officially kicking off in December.

Each chef will create the recipe for one Alta Badia mountain hut, where his or her creation will be on the menu for the whole winter season. Dishes will be paired with two wines: one from the chef’s region and one from South Tyrol.

Skiers can glide from one hut to the other, where they will stop and taste the chefs’ dishes, making this the last word in ‘haute’ cuisine.

Visitors can also feast on gourmet breakfasts throughout the winter season in participating huts, and the fine food season will end at the end of March with the Wine Ski Safari, a day dedicated to wines.
