bankso BulgariaThe ski resort of Bankso in Bulgaria has been named the best-value ski destination in a new report by Post Office Travel Money.

The report lists the top 10 cheapest resorts, based on the price of ski passes, ski and boot hire, ski schools, and the price of food on the slopes – but doesn’t take into account flight or accommodation costs

A week skiing in Bankso was calculated to cost £265.

Comparing 27 resorts in Europe and America, Italy appears to be the best country for value-for-money, with three resorts in the top 10 - Livigno, Sestriere and Cervinia. Prices for a week skiing here ranged between £362 and £439.

Austria also had two resorts in the top ten – Ellmau (£357) and Mayrhofen (£440).
