A new bus service between London and Cortina has been launched, allowing skiers heading to the Dolomites a leisurely plane-free journey.
The bus departs from London on Friday morning and arrives in Cortina on Saturday evening, taking in Amsterdam, Brussels, Liege, Luxembourg and Paris en route. There is a quick change of bus at Mestre before heading into the mountains.  The return service from Cortina to London departs on Saturday and arrives on Sunday.

‘The new bus service is an alternative to air travel and embraces the philosophy of “slow travel:” enjoy the views from the comfort of your seat and arrive in the Ampezzo valley without the usual frenzy of travelling,’ said a statement from the Italian resort.
As well as being more environmentally friendly, travelling by bus also avoids the stress of airport check-in and long waiting times in the airport.

The service will run every Saturday until March 27th. A one-way ticket costs €100.
