new season of salomon tv has begun

Salomon has kicked off this year’s series of short films with a piece called ‘Fountain of Youth’, told from the perspective of an aging pro skier.

Mike Douglas, a 47-year-old pro skier, is the star of ‘Fountain of Youth’. His mission is to find a way to keep his professional ski career alive for as long as possible as he begins to feel the impact of aging, both physically and mentally.

The film follows Mike on his travels to Japan as he tries to uncover their secrets to health and longevity. He finds out more about diet, fitness, religion and outlook on life, while still finding the time to fit in some awesome powder skiing.

He also seeks advice from the oldest man to ever climb Mt. Everest, Yuichiro Miura, and quizzes him about how he stays fit enough to still ski 100 days a year at age 84. We’d sure like to know the answer!
