Roped Up helps connect skiers and snowboarders of similar ability and outlook to each other, enabling them to split the cost of private ski instruction and guiding.

brand new service launches that connects like minded skiers

Roped Up allows users to create their own unique profile page which states their level of skiing, post photos and describe their ability levels in detail as well as what they enjoy doing in resort.  Users can then join groups created by other users, or create a new one – instructor or guide bookings can then be made and paid for directly through the website.

It’s simple and easy to use.

The service has partnered up with some of the top ski school and guide operations in the Alps, including Ecole du Ski Chamonix and Oxygène. The step by step process takes very little time for users to set up and includes a number of elements:

A ‘Creator’ forms a group, ‘joiners’ find a suitable group, request to join the group, ‘Joiner’ is accepted into the group, the group goes ‘live’ once minimum numbers are reached, ‘creator’ then chooses an instructor or guide, more people may join the group.

Co-Founder Will Tyzack comments: “The idea is all about safe, fun, social ski days that don’t cost the earth, with the added visibility of who you are going to ski with. With the falling Pound taking the news headlines recently, Roped Up offers a genuine way for skiers and snowboarders to save on group instruction and guiding.”

Roped Up is currently available in the Espace Killy, Trois Vallées, La Plagne, Les Arcs, and Chamonix in France, and Verbier and Zinal in Switzerland, with more resorts due to roll out soon.
