On our test, the Haglofs Skra insulated pants struck a good, simple balance between light weight and warmth and were our Editor's Choice winners
Haglofs Skra insulated pants
The Skra isn't Haglofs most expensive ski pant but it was my favourite from their range thanks to the combination of light weight and 'Bluesign' approved insulated lining. For me this struck just the right balance between a loose, light feel and warmth without bulk on those colder days on the mountain.
The two-layer Gore-tex shell outer protects against wind and moisture and is also breathable, and the Skra has a loose but not too baggy design that IMHO cuts quite a dash...
It comes with just the right number of features - two zipped hand pockets and a zipped rear pocket, removable braces and an easy-to-use Velcro waist adjustment (there are also belt loops if you're really scared of them falling down), articulated knees, a huge reinforced instep to protect against ski and boot scuffs and inner gaiters.
All told the Skra is a really well designed insulated ski pant which shows that keeping it simple works, and they'll suit any keen skier.
