These 'mitts' from eGlove are designed so that you can whip out your index finger from the outer layer to use your smart-phone anywhere and at any temperature.

It's a novel idea, but does it actually work?
I tried these out in Austria and the first thing that I liked was the gloves themselves. Forget about the extra novelty of being able to use your phone for a second. These are some of the most comfortable gloves I've ever worn and kept my hands very cosy despite the cold early March temperatures.

I've never really worn mittens before, but with the extra finger and the flexibility of the high-quality goat leather lining, I didn't even notice I had them on. Being able to scroll through your emails on a chairlift isn't really a bonus in my opinion, but if that's your thing, with these you hands will stay warm and the phone screen responded well to my touch.

My conclusion, the gloves are excellent, warm and provide a fantastic grip. They look good and seem tough and durable. These are the most important factors which eGlove have got right, the added element of smart-phone convenience in there too.
