Th Marmote Isotherm is the kind of jacket you don’t really appreciate until you need it – it’s lightweight and stuffs away so easily in your pack that you’ll forget it’s there until you’re sitting on a cold chairlift, when you’ll get off at the top, slip it on beneath a shell layer and hey presto! Instant warmth.
It’s also breathable so you won’t get too hot whilst skiing, using an abrasion-resistant Pertex Quantum fabric with Marmot’s super breathable DriClime mesh lining on the inside.
In between this is the new state-of-the-art Polartec Alpha insulation, a durable woven material that provides virtually instant warmth.
Features are fairly minimal as you’d expect with a jacket made for fast and light travel, and consists of softshell shoulder reinforcements, two large, zipped handwarmer pockets and a zipped shoulder pocket plus an adjustable drawcord hem.
The Isotherm is also great for cool summer evenings and will become one of those bits of kit you stuff in your pack as a matter of course whatever the season.
