This is probably not the kind of garment you’d want to be seen wearing in public, but this snug one-piece base layer is designed for function above all else, and aimed at ice climbers, alpinists and skiers who are likely to find themselves in environments where they wear their underwear for days at a time.

The one-piece design eliminates the extra seams and potential cold spots of a traditional top and bottom layering system, and is made from the warmest and most breathable baselayer in the Capilene family, providing a soft, stretchy feel and a smooth face that glides beneath layers.

The brushed fleece interior insulates, wicks moisture and rests smoothly against your skin. Features include a hood (which personally I found a little superfluous if not irritating for its ability to get rucked up under your collar), a long front zipper, thumb loops to keep sleeves in place, and a fly and a side-zip drop-bottom so you literally don’t ever have to take it off.

With this in mind the Polygiene permanent odour control that is also featured in the garment is not only useful but pretty much essential.

A one-piece is probably overkill if you’re only on the hill for the day,and this certainly ain't a budget priced base layer either, but for multi-day winter expeditions it's well worth considering.
