The Sweet Trooper carbon fibre ski helmet is one of the best we’ve tested, with a quality construction that gives you the confidence to feel that if you do take a heavy fall you’re really well protected.

Its constructed using Sweet’s own bombproof ‘TLC Shell Technology’ (Thermoplastic Laminated Carbon fibre) which can be ‘tuned’ to provide different properties in different areas of the shell for optimum protection and performance.

This is combined with Sweet’s ‘Impact Shield Technology’, a highly advanced shock absorbing EPS liner which distributes impacts over larger areas at the front and back of the head where protection is most important.

A Coolmax liner and adjustable vents on the front and back help to stop you overheating, and the chin straps are solidly constructed numbers that whilst being a bit of a faff to adjust stay put and provide a good, secure fit, with soft, comfy padding on the chin strap.

The inner is easily adjustable and comes with a good selection of ‘Fit Pads’ so you can personalise the fit precisely, and the ear pads are easily removable for warmer conditions.

Add to all this great looks and a variety of colour options (we tested the ‘Dirt Black’ model which looked most cool) and you have in the Trooper as good as ski helmet as you’re likely to find this winter.
