The Arc'teryx Caden is a delight to wear; made from hard wearing Whiteline Gore-Tex which is significantly more breathable and also more durable than previous incarnations, it's a great choice for the big mountain style riders it's aimed at.

The Caden has been designed with an ‘articulated pattern’ that anticipates the posture of a skier or boarder in motion and allows winter layers to move freely inside the shell.

As a non-insulated shell its lightweight and won't restrict you in that respect, and features are fairly minimalist, including a helmet compatible hood, large mesh inner pockets and zippered hand pockets and a powder skirt.

But that's really all you need in a proper big mountain jacket - especially when they all work so well together.
