The high loft Polartec Thermal Pro fleece is a great option beneath a shell, providing both warmth and light weight, and you get all the basic features you need – two large zipped handwarmer pockets, a zipped chest pocket and small zipped arm pocket, snug inner cuffs on the sleeves and a high collar for extra warmth.
The Trollveggen also looks great; I’ve been using the men’s version of this jacket for two seasons now and found that despite a slim fit it moves well with you and doesn't feel in any way restrictive - in fact I can’t find fault with it. Highly recommended.
