The new Salomon Foresight ski jacket is designed as a technical garment for big mountain adventures, and comes with a pretty bombproof construction as well as great looks and all the essential features.

These include waterproof and breathable ClimaPro Storm 3L fabric, pits zips, a wide range of zipped inner and outer pockets, removable stretch powder skirt, high collar with snug microfibre lining and a contemporary loose fit.

It’s designed to work best with the Foresight Bib Pant which we’ve also reviewed, and will snap in to the pants to stop the snow going where it was never meant to go.

One of the best skiers I met last season was happy to leap off cliffs above La Tania in an earlier incarnation of the Foresight combo known as the Sideways (telemarker Yoann Roche since you ask) and I have to say if the forerunner of the Foresight was good enough for him then the updated version is more than likely to be good enough for you and I.
