Burton Feel Good 2016-17
Wo! I feel good, I knew that I would....well, actually we didn't know, but it did. With the Burton Feel Good the clue is in the name; it genuinely 'feels good' to cruise around the mountain on, as the traditional camber and longer edges make it super stable when carving, plus they grip well too. There's a slight weight to the feel underfoot so you need to be quite aggressive, which ultimately is rewarding for more skillful riders.
Not only does the Feel Good feel stable when going fast, it also tolerates low speed well. The Burton Channel system (for the bindings) works well, providing excellent control and turn initiation. Performance in powder is a little more average - those who are not used to traditional camber may struggle in the deep stuff.
The snowboard is definitely not a jib stick and performs fairly averagely in the park. Having said that, the camber gives a snappy pop and spring. The softness in the nose and tail gives it a freestyle element for hitting kickers and the pipe.
The hypnotically beautiful board graphic is an effect made from scrunched up plastic bags - very arty!
