Jones snowboards are now arguably the go-to brand for freeriding, their reputation cemented by Freeride Explorer and mountaineer Jeremy Jones. For this man to put his name on a board, you know it must deliver. The Twin Sister then was much anticipated on test by the freeride crowd.

The Jones Twin Sister is a freeride board without the stiffer characteristics commonly found on classic freeride snowboards. It's actually a fun board to ride but it's totally on it when you go up the gears.

The first review we got back for it read 'Amazing carving machine, you can feel the difference Magne Traction makes immediately, it's like adding power steering.' Great then for riders who love a bit of speed and stability without the bite back.

It's Twin shape with hybrid rocker and camber, and slightly higher nose than tail make it perfect for intermediate to advanced level riders that want high performance.

One tester remarked: 'It's the board you want to be on when snow conditions are fresh.'

High praise indeed. Only drawback is that it's beginner-unfriendly.
