Brand new for 2017, The Nitro SMP is a directional cam-out camber board which rides with an old school surf feel to it. The SMP has an early rise in the nose and tail so effortlessly floats on powder and is a real joy to ride off-piste.

This board is also suited for those who like to charge the mountain and we found the Nitro SMP to be stable at speed, even on uneven terrain. Helped by the Radial sidecut, we found the board to be responsive with good turn initiation - it's ideal for aggressive riding and carving. The SMP is also surprisingly forgiving and despite being directional, felt comfortable riding in switch.

With Nitro's All Terrain Flex, power core and inserted power pods, the SMP gives a good reflex snap for ground tricks and natural side kickers. Not the best board for parks, but still fun for a lap or two and holds an edge well for the pipe.

The Nitro SMP is not for beginners and the graphics will not appeal to everyone, but for those who are lucky enough to take this out in fresh powder will not be disappointed.
