The name Alter Ego is fitting as this is a board with a split personality. This is thanks to it's split tails that can either be clipped together for all-mountain riding, or unclipped to unleash the beast on powder.

Unclipped in the deep stuff gives powder riding another dimension. The twin tails are flexible and work independently from each other giving a silky smooth surf-like ride. Truly effortless.

The Ride Alter Ego is a directional hybrid camber to rocker split tail board. The slightly raised rocker at the head and tail give the board that extra lift for float in the powder

Clipped back together and it takes to the groomers well. It is not the most forgiving of boards but does charge well, feeling stable underfoot with a damp and fast ride.

It also holds down the edges well for carving. We managed to really lock in for those long arced curves, but also found it was light and easy to manoeuvre for short radius turns.

This is certainly not a jib board and being stiff, no good for butters. The Alter Ego also has a luck lustre pop, but is nice and stable over kickers.

An average board out on the slopes, the Ride Alter Ego really comes to life in the powder and is as near as snow surfing as you can get.
