The Ride Machete is highly regarded within the snowboarding community as a fun all mountain quiver. It won ‘best in test’ in Snowboard Magazines 2011 review of the latest boards and deservedly so. Ride have equipped the Machete with a low rise rocker which gives an almost flat surface underfoot improving all mountain versatility but retaining stability unlike more extreme rocker profiles. The pop on this board is unreal thanks in part to carbon 'poprods', the energy it returns is predictable and smooth but there’s loads of it. Transition between edges is silky smooth and there are no sudden shocks from catching an edge when travelling at speed. The Machete has durable sidewall and base constructions which provide good protection against impacts; something that is par for the course on freestyle orientated boards meaning the board should last out a season even for the most demanding of riders.
