Although marketed firmly in the Park and Pipe category, the Atomic Infamous proved itself to be far more adaptable when we put it through its paces at the 2016 on snow test in Kuhtai, Austria.
With just the right amount of rocker in tip and tail, coupled with a poppy all-wood core, the ski should allow most skiers to bounce and butter away to their heart's content over any and all obstacles they choose.
That wood core equates to a nice light ski (1.74kg per plank in a 176 length) and that in turn ensures it's a cinch to manoeuvre and requires minimal effort to launch off any obstacles that take your fancy.
The step-down sidewall is designed to aid smoothness and durability and it does all that it's supposed to. But that construction has the added benefit - if the ski is tuned correctly - of providing a very decent edge grip when conditions are icy, which they often were in Kuhtai where we test all our skis.
Add in a floaty waist width of 86mm and what you suddenly have is a Park and Pipe ski that can also confidently be taken onto hard groomers and into soft dollops of fresh snow.
At £285 without bindings the Infamous is also pretty great value, all wrapped up in a funky marblesque-dappled top sheet.
