One of the very highest scoring skis on our 2014 on snow test in Kuhtai, Austria. The Dynastar Fluid 78 is the perfect on-piste, groomed slope companion that's smoother than Alberto Tomba's chat up lines. They scored full marks for long turns, smoothness and overall performance.

These skis are made to carve out fast turns on groomed slopes and the moment you make your first turn, you know you're going to have fun.

The edge hold is unbeatable and solid, providing the skier with confidence on even the hardest of packed surfaces. At higher speeds, they don't let you down - feeling stable and solid as you ramp up the velocity.

'These are one of the nicest, most-fun skis on piste that I've ever experienced', said one of our testers. You can't get more praise than that.

Suited mostly to advanced and expert skiers, the Fluid 78 feels like an easy turning GS race ski, which essentially it is. With a subtle tip rocker for easy initiation combined with a powerful construction, you get a high performance ski that takes you for a ride around the mountain that you both won't want to stop.

Downsides - they're not made for much more than a smooth piste, losing their life once you take away that harder surface. But a Porsche 911 wasn't built for driving around the farm.
