The K2 AMP 80 is designed for all mountain use but performs best within the marked runs in-resort. We enjoyed their versatility and forgiving nature during our 2013 on snow ski test in Kuhtai, Austria.

Although sitting in the All-Mountain category in our 2013 on snow ski test in Austria and occasionally reviewed as a ski suitable for ‘all mountain conditions and terrain’, we found the K2 AMP 80 to be far happier within the marked slopes than anywhere else.

Despite this, they do perform well on-piste and enjoy the variety of conditions that skiers might find without straying from the marked boundaries. Whether that’s hard-pack, softer snow or moguls, the skis are versatile enough to enjoy the whole mountain, but just not off-piste.

For an intermediate to advanced skier who’s perhaps looking to purchase their first ski after previously renting, they would make an excellent choice and a combination of tip rocker for easy turn initiation and high torsional stiffness make them both simple to use whilst also responsive and lively.
