You're a good skier who enjoys mainly staying on-piste, wants to improve your carving turns, not too aggressive but likes to open up the speed when conditions allow - you want to own a ski rather than rent, because that way you'll get used to the feel of a ski and improve your performance by gaining more confidence. You go skiing for at least one week a year, but perhaps take the odd second or third break too and spend some time in the UK snowdome environment to further improve your skiing.

If that sounds like you, then the Rossignol Famous 6 might have your name on it.

It might be your first ski purchase - you've got to the stage where renting doesn't make sense as you want the convenience of owning skis, especially due to the UK indoor time you enjoy.

The skis are fun and easy to turn, but also have enough juice in their performance to handle more advanced skiers without becoming too laboured. We enjoyed them at both slower and higher speeds, with perhaps a limit on their stability when you really ramp things up to the top notch.

The lightweight Paulownia wood core combined with Rossignol's Power Turn Rocker make for a high performance, easy to turn, confidence boosting ski that would suit anyone from a recreational skier just starting to carve their turns - through to a ski instructor looking for a versatile piste ski to work and play on.
