The Rossignol Pursuit 14 might not have grabbed us with its looks but on test it proved playful at both high and low speeds and fantastic fun to throw around on the piste.

Check out the price of the Pursuit 14 - at £410 including bindings it's just what many recreational skiers will be looking for, especially those who don't use a piste ski all the time but want something for when the groomers are the best place to be.

The Pursuit was excellent in short radius turns with confidence-inspiring edge hold that encourages you to get playful at both high and low speeds; which is essentially what piste skiing is all about.

It's curious though that as with most other piste skis the graphics are less than inspiring despite the fact that when in use you actually see more of a piste ski than you do the more flamboyant big mountain skis with their surreal top sheets.
