b'LEARN TO SKIOUR SPONSORS AND PARTNERS.WELCOMEI first skied with my family when I was five years old, in the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland. We all learned together, and were all immediately hooked. It didnt take long before my brother and I were quicker than our parents, which is a great feeling as a kid. I really enjoyed the competitive side of snowsports, but also the freedom of being in the mountains.I stopped my competitive career over 20 years ago, after racing in five Olympic Games, but I have never lost my love of the sport. A really special thing about skiing now is being together as a family and watching my kids get hooked in turn on the sport. The beauty of the mountains and the thrill of sliding down them is something I cherish, and I hope this guide will help to welcome newcomers to the wonderful world of snowsports.
