Fresher's Ski Week - a campaign which aims to make ski and snowboarding holidays for beginners affordable, is back for 2011.

The idea is that beginners book their holiday in one of two low season weeks and pay just for their travel and accommodation, receiving tuition, lift passes and equipment hire completely free.

The offer is valid in 25 resorts in Andorra, Italy's Aosta Valley, Finland, France, Norway and Switzerland as well as Canada in North America and can be booked through six leading tour operators - Crystal, Inghams, Thomson. First choice, Ski Norway and Frontier Ski.

Holidays must be booked for the weeks beginning 22nd January or 19th March and there are 745 holidays available in total on a first-come, first-served basis. As an added incentive there's a free prize draw for a completely free holiday on the website.

Fresher's Ski Week is an initiative of the Association of Snowsports Countries and was first offered in the2001 and 2002 winter seasons, there was then a seven year break before it was re-instated in 2009 and this is the third successive season the promotion has run, due to its popularity.
