Lots of features, well insulated
Not keen on hood attachment, quite tight if layering up

The Pronounce jacket has certainly been built to keep the weather at bay, combining a waterproof and breathable outer layer with taped seams, a DWR finish and high loft insulation.

This does mean that it's a pretty heavy and bulky jacket, and as such best suited to piste cruising and the like. That said you do get pit zips to help you cool down should you decide to do a bit of hiking.

You also get plenty of other features in the Pronounce, as is usually the case with Dare2b kit. The hood is detachable via a zipper but it would have been a better fit had the zip gone the full length of the collar rather than just along the centre as it does, since peripheral vision isn't great when you have it pulled up.

There's a soft, warm microfleece inner to the collar, and four good-sized zipped outer pockets (two chest, two hand) along with three inner pockets and a sleeve pocket, so you have plenty of room for carrying your bits and pieces if you prefer not to ride with a pack.

The powder skirt is detachable, and there are lots of useful little touches such as an attached goggle wipe, wrist gaiters and articulated sleeves, so you get plenty of jacket at a reasonable price in the Pronounce.
