As a lightly lined shell jacket, this is ideally suited to those who like to be able to ski or board season round, offering a slightly lighter option for warmer conditions, but it’s easily given extra oomph with a fleece or warmer midlayer underneath for when it’s really cold.

A detachable snowskirt and hood add to this versatility, as do the ventilating pit zips. The soft brushed collar and upper back panel are a nice touch, while side pockets, a chest pocket and sleeve pocket should take care of storage issues, no matter where the optimum position for your ski pass is for the resort you’re in.
