If you look up the definition of Bodacious then you'll see it means excellent, admirable or attractive - and if you're a fan of Bill & Teds Excellent Adventures then you'll remember that according them, the girls in England are, 'bodacious babes'. Obviously, they had a good point.

The obvious target for these big, brash, testosterone fuelled freeride machines are, yes you guessed it, young males in search of bodacious babes, and of course powder snow.

But, what's in a name? The truth is, whatever your age, if you're a strong confident skier who loves to hit the best powder lines, blast through open fields of chopped up snow and generally hoon around the mountain on your own excellent adventure then the Bodacious is most certainly excellent, admirable and very attractive indeed.

They are wide at 118mm under foot - in fact they were the widest skis we have tested this year. But, they don't feel it. You could easily be turning on 20cm's less, they are so responsive and agile. They are fun to ski and this year's model is a little softer in the tip, meaning they are more accessible and super easy to turn.

Surprisingly they also carve a decent turn on-piste, something that the new wave of freeride skis often do well, but at 118 you'd still not expect. It's not where they want to be but if you enjoy a smooth ride home at the end of the day at least you'll get one.

The 'Flipcore 3D wood with a Titanal laminate is fully rockered in the tip and has a lower profile tail rocker too - smaller skiers could ski the longer lengths and get away with it.

If you look too old to say, 'that was sick man' at the end of the run, then just don't say it.
