The Cochise was already a great freeride ski, but Blizzard have done a bit of tweaking to make it even better for this season. This has included the utilisation of a carbon layer into the rockered portions of the tips and tails and a new tapered tip shape along with a little less stiffness.

What this means is that this classic freeride charger is now that bit lighter and more responsive than it was, making it great fun for skiing hard and fast in all terrain; and the steeper it gets the more it seems to like it.

The Cochise scored highly in every category, especially so for its responsiveness and versatility; yes it was at its best in powder (where it floats with ease) and tracked out crud (where it simply bashes through whilst at the same time feeling stable and predictable), but it can also carve a serious edge on the groomers despite the 108mm waist so you can have plenty of fun pretty much anywhere on the mountain.

Not only that but it's a truly handsome ski to look at; sure, you're paying for what you get in terms of both looks and performance, but you'll be glad you paid out that bit extra when you experience how well the Cochise performs.
