This all mountain ski from Dynastar is designed with the advanced and expert skier in mind - someone who wants to spend most of their time away from the groomed slopes, but needs a ski that handles the piste well too.
Overall, our test team found it to be versatile all over the mountain, but the longer length 184 was favoured over the shorter skis, they feel smoother to turn, especially on groomed slopes, said one of our testers.
The smaller brother, Powertrack 84, seems to be a more balanced ski in general - the 89 is a more powerful ski, but it can feel a little heavy and hard to handle.
It would suit a stronger skier, perhaps a larger person, as it responds well when a lot of pressure is applied to the edge, but if you're light and nimble we don't think this is the best ski for you.
The wood core is complimented with a titanal plate that strengthens the skis from top to bottom and the rockered tip helps make turn initiation easier. They prefer longer radius turns to short, both on the piste and off of it and in moguls they feel a little too stiff and cumbersome.
To conclude, we like the look of the ski and the price point is good - best for physically stronger, advanced to expert skiers looking for a ski to take you everywhere.
