The Nordica Avenger is designed for recreational skiers looking to improve their technique and advance onto the next level. During our 2014 on-snow ski test they performed well at slower speeds on groomed slopes where they feel most at home.

Nordica have a strong pedigree of producing high-end race style skis that love groomed slopes.

But the Avenger 78 is designed for a skier who's still progressing towards full-on carving and who prefers to stay within the boundaries of marked runs.

Our testers found it particularly good at lower speeds. 'If you start picking up speed they feel a little un-stable, but they are easy to turn and would be perfect for someone wanting to own their own skis who's isn't too aggressive and wants to progress their carving technique without making life too difficult.'

Although they are labelled as an all-mountain ski, our testers felt that they really only suited groomed slopes and once the terrain became more variable they struggled to provide stability and lift.
