Reasonably stable at speed.
Low performance from such a well-respected company.

Nordica says its GT range is "high-performance off-road models designed for piste skiers" and perhaps this is why the 76 Ti is a bit of a muddle and not quite sure what it wants to be.

The ski is aimed at recreational skiers but costs a hefty £600 with bindings, while that 76mm waist is not wide enough to provide any real versatility off-piste - even for higher ability levels.

Another minus for the GT 76 Ti when compared to the rest of the range is you do not get the higher level of construction tech (the drilled titanal 'torsion bridge') that is present in the GT Speedmachine 80, GT 80 Ti or GT 84 Ti, or the lightweight carbon design of the GT 76 CA. Instead with the GT 76 Ti you get a poplar/beech wood core, with a single titanal layer and two wooden stringers.

A recreational ski should be easy to ski, fun and help progression. This is none of those things; in fact it's pretty awful. There is little pop or life, while the ski is not easy to turn nor does it give you the confidence to do so. It is okay at speed due to that dull flex and damp feel, but it should be so much more than that.

The GT 76 Ti's performance is even more disappointing when you consider Nordica is usually one of the best manufacturers of piste skis out there, including its perennial testers' favourite Dobermann range.
