Snowbombing which this year takes place between 4th – 9th April 2016, boasts some of the most awe-inspiring festival venues in the world from a mountaintop igloo 6,000 feet above sea level to enchanted forest clearings, cosy alpine lodges and atmospheric medieval barns not to mention the plethora of bars, clubs, dives and speakeasys.

Last year saw the reintroduction of the legendary Bruck N Stadl, a traditional Austrian wooden ‘haus’ equipped with an enormous Funktion-One sound-system that in its time has hosted the very cream of the house and techno scene from Eats Everything to Modeselektor.

Headlining the 17th Snowbombing next April is the mighty Prodigy. Back with a vengeance following decades of jaw-dropping performances, the original masters of rave have vowed to take it to another level at The Forest Party this year.

Also topping the bill is award-winning drum and bass pioneer, turntablist and producer Andy C, with his trademark three decks in action expect him to tear the roof off the Racket Club.

Mercury Award nominees Jungle are hitting the Snowbombing bill for the first time. Following rave reviews for their eponymous chart-topping album last year, the electro soulfunk duo J and T and their full live band will be joining Belgian drum & bass producer and musician Netsky and Groove Armada dropping one of their classic DJ sets at Austria’s largest fancy dress Street Party.

Joining the mix at the subterranean underground tennis club turned 2000 capacity festival superhaven, are a selection of some of the world’s very best DJs. Dutch master Oliver Heldens will be representing the future dance scene with a Sunday night special, Hannah Wants will be kicking it with a signature hard-hitting bass set while Wilkinson (DJ set) will be dropping some serious drum & bass and dubstep.

Elsewhere across the festival there will be incredible sets and performances from a landslide of international talent. Techno sessions from analog nerds Bicep, live sets from Henrik Schwarz, deep house excellence from Hot Since 82and a lesson in turntable mastery from James Zabiela will keep the party in full alpine flow.

New Jersey deep house legend Kerri Chandler will also be in full effect playing two unique sets across the festival with a special surprise appearance to be revealed closer to the event.

Techno veteran Marcel Dettmann will be turning up the heat in the traditional alpine sweatbox, the Bruckn’ Stadl and Dutch electro-trio Noisia will be rocking The Arena with their notorious blend of drum and bass, dubstep, breakbeat and house.

Snowbombing is offering accommodation packages to suit all depths of pocket. Authentic self-catered apartments are available for guests on a budget from just £249+bf for 5 nights’ accommodation & festival wristband.
