Haglofs Line Pants Mens Ski/Snowboard Trousers
The Haglofs Line Pants are aimed at the freeride skier or snowboarder and are designed to be a robust pair of ski trousers that should last the average holiday maker a lifetime.
There is no denying that Haglofs, a Swedish brand established in 1914, designs adventure gear that can stand up to the toughest conditions. On test on the pistes and slack country of the French Alps the Line Pants proves this yet again.
The DWR-treated outer shell, made from 100% recycled polyester offers great water shedding and a durability that's hard to match.
The hip to knee side vents, with waterproof zips and back webbing, allow a cooling breeze through when hiking in the backcountry and the three pockets on the front are well positioned, with the thigh bellow pocket easily holding a beanie or even a pair of goggles.
The Line Pants have good, sturdy belt loops but unfortunately there's no inbuilt waist adjustability. The rear has a slightly raised back which is reinforced with foam inserts, this helps to keep you warm and keeps the snow out if you take a tumble. The braces are very neat; being super slim-line, adjustable and removeable, they're also very comfortable - you don't feel them at all, even when wearing a heavy backpack.
The Schoeller® reinforced insteps and internal leg gaiter with elasticated silicone grippers stretch easily over your boots and stay firmly in place, providing good protection against the snow. They do however lack any adjustability and, alongside the straight and wide cut this would perhaps deter us from wanting to use the Line Pant for serious ski touring, or on backcountry adventures where you may need to use a pair of crampons.
Overall the Haglofs Line Pant proved to be a great option for resort and general freeride use and proved, once again, that Haglofs make top quality mountain and adventure gear.
