The Salomon Hacker C is a darn fine helmet, at a good price point. Best for those looking for comfort and fit, without compromising on safety. One of the best helmets in this season's test.

The Salomon Hacker C Air is, as with most things Salomon, well made, comfortable and super practical. Coming in three colours (Green, Blue and Black) the Hacker C Air is made with a very light twin shell construction, thus enabling a high standard of shock absorption.

It's great for all-round mountain skiing/boarding, but one place it does fall down is the lack of vents, making it a little warm when hiking or riding late spring.

The custom 'air technology' fit is fantastic. You pump up a small bladder, which runs around the base of your skull, giving you a personalised fit. The chin strap is well padded and the faux fur is lovely around your ears on a cold day.

A great all-round helmet, that's so comfy you may find you forget to take it off.
