Affordable, stretchy and practical ski pants that are tremendously comfortable to wear all day and on into the apres...
Only the Velcro and zip 'double-lock' on the back pockets - just a bit fiddly, but it's a very minor gripe

As with the Yanis ski jacket, Swedish brand Tenson call these their most affordable ski pants - the two together will cost you £350, which is not bad going for such a comfortable combo.

Tenson are re-emerging onto the UK ski market after a few years absence, and the Zeus are a good place to re-acquaint yourself with some Scandi style. Tenson's satisfyingly soft new stretchy MPC Extreme fabric ensures excellent freedom of movement, and the soft lining makes them warm and soothing next to the skin if you're eschewing base layer leggings.

These really are superbly comfortable. They have the same soft-to-the-touch feel as the Yanis jacket, and come with fully articulated knees, taped seams and meshed venting zips on the upper thighs for when the heat is on. Two panels of slightly tougher material on the inside lower leg guard against tears from ski boots, and the pants have in-built snow gaiters to keep you dry in the powder.

Matching the Yanis, the Zeus have a respectable 10k/10k waterproof/breathability rating, keeping you dry from the inside and the out. Eco note: it's PFC-free, and it also has built-in RECCO reflector technology - handy if caught in an avalanche.

Two robust front zipped, fleecy-lined pockets are fine for phone and wallet, and there are a couple of back pockets, which with both zips and velco flaps mean whatever is in will stay dry, but it can be a bit of a faff to open both Velcro and a zip. So don't use them for anything you need in a hurry!

The Zeus come with detachable suspenders if you prefer salopettes style and the colours exactly match the Yanis jacket range, so if you don't want to look a little like a giant courgette, you could go for a contrasting shade.
