The Bergans Osen is a product you'll either love or hate since it’s quite idiosyncratic in appearance. That said the Osen has all the attributes of a fine outdoor garment.

Made from an innovative mix of high loft down with windproof Tecnowool® and it’s extremely warm, the more so because the down is located in areas where quick and effective insulation is essential, whilst the tough, hardwearing wool sections are situated where you’re most exposed to the elements.

This means that in cool, dry conditions you can use it as an outer; if its wet or cold (or both) it can be used as a mid-layer.

The fit is loose and light and provides great ease of movement, and the Osen also features three zipped pockets and an extended back, plus fixed hood and elastic cuffs, along  with a build quality that, assuming the very Nordic style appeals, should last you for many seasons in the mountains.
