Columbia’s Millennium Blur jacket is a good option for skiers and boarders who feel the cold since the Omni-Tech waterproof, breathable protection combined with blingy bright silver Omni-heat insulation provide a lot more warmth than a shell.

The fabric also has four-way stretch for additional comfort along with thoughtful little touches like inner ‘comfort cuffs’ in the sleeves and a nice, snug microfleece chinguard.

It also comes with plenty of useful features aimed at serious riders including a removable, adjustable and helmet-compatible storm hood, removable snap back powder skirt and pit zips.

There are several pockets allowing you to carry your gear without a pack should you wish – all main outer pockets have waterproof zips and come in the form of two handwarmer and two chest pockets plus a small ski pass pocket, whilst there are two zipped inner pockets and a mesh goggle pocket.

With all these features the Millennium Blur makes a good choice for riders looking for an insulated ski jacket rather than a more utilitarian shell.
