The ideal jacket for a once-in-a-lifetime Japanese powder mission
Too warm for spring days so you'll need to invest in another outfit if you're planning to ride all season long.

Your annual ski holiday is a precious event so you need to make sure you're able to max out on resort time no matter what nature has in store.

Wild, wet, stormy days can be pretty cold, wet and miserable affairs if you're not packing the right kit but with the Patagonia Insulated Powder Bowl Jacket you'll have the necessary weather protection to keep you warm, dry and ready to shred right through 'till après.

The rugged 2 layer 100% recycled GORE-TEX fabric provides waterproof and windproof protection on the hill while the 90% recycled Thermogreen insulation ensures you'll stay warm and toasty when riding the lifts. This blend of 60g and 100g body mapped insulation has been strategically placed inside the jacket to max out on warmth where it's needed most so you won't overheat.

If you need additional protection from the elements on the stormiest of days then the Powder Bowl Jacket's helmet compatible, 2-way adjustable hood with laminated visor and high collar will keep you focused on the face shot mission. The hood is also removable although why you would want that feature on a storm-specific jacket is a mystery to us.

Other features of note include the vast array of pockets including an external ski pass pocket, internal stash pocket, internal zippered pocket with key clip and secure media chest pocket with cable routing for headphones. The RECCO reflector and adjustable powder skirt are also essential additions for any snowsport-specific jacket.

At £420 the Powder Bowl Jacket may require a significant investment but if you want to shred on the wildest of winter days then you'll be good to go. Stormy mountain days filter out the fair weather skiers and leave the powder to the fresh track obsessed so if you do decide to go for the Powder Bowl Jacket you'll be able to max out on those face shots all day long.
