Not ideal for newbies

Jones Snowboards are typically thought of as freeride or big mountain playthings, but the Mountain Twin is one of their more freestyle and all mountain friendly rides. A stiff(ish) directional twin that has a combination of camber underfoot with rocker in the nose and tail, the large cambered section paired with Traction Tech serrated edges allow you to carve the Mountain Twin hard, even on gnarlier hardpack and icy pistes. The reverse cambered nose and tail are easy to press, and float super well in powder, aided by the setback stance.

A CamRock profile along with Bamboo stringers and Triax fiberglass, makes the MT poppy and responsive boards out there given an aggressive treatment, but with a firmer flex it’s not ideal for newbies.

Jones make the Mountain Twin to very high standards out of a great factory that uses eco-plastics, recycled edges and wood from sustainable forests to name a few of their manufacturing processes which also gives this board great eco credentials.

VERDICT Loads of tech at a fair price for intermediate and advanced riders looking for a truly versatile all mountain board
