Superseding the popularity of the DH, the Machete has built a strong name for itself. A test team favourite, the queue to test the board was long - but worth the wait in the end for such a well-priced all-mountain freestyle snowboard.

No matter what mother nature did with the weather the Machete didn't flinch once. Ride have absolutely cracked it with the Machete and it rode so well I didn't want to take it back and risk not getting the opportunity to ride it more.

Even in powder the Machete was strong and the reverse camber profile made it easy to handle and with heaps of float. Ride boards are always so stable and the Machete was no different with bags of pop loaded into the board.

Aimed at intermediate riders right up to pros, the machete is a bit more than most beginners would need, however a fast-improving beginner would have fun on the Machete.

In the park this board felt amazing with the slimwall edges taking out loads of the heavy impacts and smoothing out the ride. I had to give this board 5/5 for being so good consistently!
