The Vantage series has been re-designed for the 2015-16 winter season and the 100 is replacing what was the Alibi - Snow Magazine's ski of the year back in 2014.

Our first impressions of the Vantage 100 are good - a powerful ski that wants to travel fast over everything you put in its way. At higher speeds, they feel solid and stable, both on and off-piste.

They are really versatile and that's what we loved about the Alibi when we first tried it. The Vantage 100 is a little wider in the waist though and that makes a difference on groomed slopes - they are just a little less responsive in the medium and short radius turns.

Once you get them into chopped up powder or any kind of challenging variable snow that you might find off the sides of the piste, that's when they really come to life. They blast through it all - but it needs a strong skier to get the most out of them and the larger guys in the team preferred them over the lighter ones.

The wood core and Titanium 'backbone' alongside a carbon mesh adds extra strength to the Vantage 100 which also has a large tip rocker making turn initiation easier and gives them that extra float in the powder.

Physically strong, advanced to expert freeride skiers who like to make aggressive turns all over the mountain will get the most out of the Vantage 100.
