The Cham has been redesigned this season and impressed us during our on snow ski test in Kuhtai, Austria. A new shovel shape made them easier to initiate turns and, although lightweight, they offered plenty of grip and performance on-piste.

They felt tighter and more responsive than the previous model that seemed to lack direction and stability, particularly on groomed slopes. The core includes weight-reducing paulownia wood and a rocker in the tip and tail made for a light, easy and overall smoother ride.

Despite having excellent edge grip in the turn, they are also much easier to skip about on than the previous model, plus they felt more playful and responsive overall. Still, the Cham remains more suited to off-piste terrain where it excels with smooth gliding turns and quick changes in direction.

Certainly one to consider for freeriding ladies that want a ski that is laid-back but can multi-task when it needs to. Only downside? We are not too sure about the colour.
