The Line Sir Francis Bacon proved to be a very user-friendly big mountain ski on test, and one that you could even enjoy riding on piste if necessary.

It's not just the graphics on the Sir Francis Bacon that are appealing - for a big mountain ski it's surprisingly nimble, and the more you put into riding it the more you'll get out of it.

Edge hold, long and short radius turns at all speeds and responsiveness were all high whether riding off-piste, through crud or - surprisingly - even on piste, where the edge grip was far better than expected.

The fact that we rode the Sir Francis Bacon at the very end of a long day of ski tests and were still keen to go back for more as the lifts were closing is ample testament to what a fun ski this is.
