We loved this ski. It makes skiing powder feel effortless and although Scott Sports say it’s for experts, we think strong recreational skiers will be able to handle it in most conditions.

One warning though, you will go fast on these skis, really really fast. I'm a bit ‘old school’ and like to make short turns off-piste, but the Scott Pure just wants to fly and you go with it. The result, you feel like a true big mountain skier and that just happens to be a whole new world of fun.

Amazingly, these skis perform really well on groomed runs too. In theory, they shouldn't, but the responsiveness is amazing and at higher speeds they feel stable and solid.

In a category with lots of fantastic skis, the Scott Pure fully deserved the title of our number one big mountain ski.
