Certainly one of the best freeride skis we were lucky enough to review on the 2013 ski test. The Scott Venture is a great all-round freeride ski that loves to explore the whole mountain.

There are so many good freeride skis on the market today and getting into the top five is a tough challenge.

The Venture from Scott Sports is such a nice ski and could have easily made it to the top spot. It’s a little easier to handle than the Crusade but gives a bit more than the Mission (both of which are excellent skis) and consistently scored 4’s and 4.5’s (out of 5) across the board in our ski test, including for on-piste turns.

Its versatility borders on an all mountain ski but you get the added benefit of something that just loves the powder.

Would suit someone who’s into skiing powder, trees, bumps, spring snow, anything they like the look of. Would also suit a nice ski touring binding set up.
