The Volkl Viola is a good all-round women’s piste ski that would suit recreational to advanced skiers who require some upper end performance without having to work too hard.

The lightweight construction means carving is relatively easy on-piste and the tip rocker makes it even more effortless. But although it's easy to turn, the edge hold, responsiveness and lively kick in the tail makes it enjoyable for higher end skiers.

It’s certainly designed for the groomed slopes and is not a great performer in deeper snow conditions. For that reason it’s not a ski for anyone looking to take on the challenges of off-piste skiing.

Conclusion, a solid and versatile on-piste ski that handles well, responds with ease to your turns and isn't too demanding.
