If you don’t feel like splashing out for Sweet’s top-of-the-range Trooper you won’t go far wrong with the Igniter.

For a start its nice and light (450g compared to 650g for the Trooper ) and it also has great ventilation so if like me you tend to get hot and itchy under a helmet it’s a good option.

The Igniter is constructed using Sweet’s highly advanced rubber toughened ABS Superlight Shell along with Impact Shield technology, which distributes impacts over larger areas at the front and back of the head where protection is most important.

Other important features include a detachable one-piece Coolmax liner which can be easily washed and dried overnight, adjustable vents on the front and a really comfy chin strap which like the liner features super soft artificial fur.

You get a stack of ‘fit pads’ so you can tailor the helmet to your own head and adjustment once on is quick and easy, and the ear pads can be detached for more comfort in warmer conditions.

Not only does the Igniter help you stay cool it also looks cool too.
